Happy birthday Musikhochschule Lübeck

100 years Musikhochschule Lübeck

Happy birthday congratulations to the „Musikhochschule Lübeck“! May it be possible to find and hold such outstanding lecturers and students in the future like today. May the politicians accept that the „Musikhochschule Lübeck“ was, is and should be in future time as well one of the most important towers of strength of the North-German culture.

The reputation of the „Musikhochschule Lübeck“ even shines across the borders of Germany, due to the speciality that students of 50 nations are learning and performing there.

We have of course mostly the string players in our minds, but furthermore the “Hochschule” offers permanently public concerts like Student Recitals, Prof’s Recital
or Artist Diploma. Everything on a marvellous quality level and often free yet.

The ambience in the old merchant houses in Lübeck is unique. Connected with the modern, architectural and acoustical fine made concert hall and the small chambermusic hall it is certainly a unique combination the students will keep in mind in a positive way forever.

In present we had good luck and had the joy to meet and honour excellent professors in the past like David Geringas, Sachar Bron, Marin-Uwe Haiberg. The positive development goes on with today`s profs.
It is exciting to see (and hear) what became of the students, included little young students.
Very spectacular were the first “visits” from Sachar Bron with his students Vadim Repin, Maxim Vengerow, Nikolaj Madojan und Natascha Prischepenko in Lübeck during the times of the “Iron Curtain”, altogether in childish age and with incredible violin playing skills. I very much remember their first concert in Lübeck am Jerusalemsberg.

According the carreer of the above mentioned persons I do not have to add anything, all of them are world-famous. Spontaneous others like Daniel Hope, Kyrill Troussow, Christian Tetzlaff, Elisatbeth Kufferrath Denis Goldfeld, Daishan Kashimoto, Alissa Margulis, Walerie Oistrach, David Garett and much more occurred to my mind.
The chamber music was always powered enormously and thus it is not astonishing that a lot of respected ensembles have their roots in Lübeck. Big influence has surely Marin Uwe Haiberg and Walter Levin.

The actual year 2011 is of course very attractive with lots of great concerts. Here there are some more information.

We congratulate and hope that the next 100 years will be successful in the same way!
